Taxi Driver è un omaggio a tutti i Taxi Drivers di Calcutta, una delle città più grandi e densamente popolate di tutta l’India.
Quotidianamente il Taxi Driver inizia a lavorare all’alba: lava e pulisce gli interni e gli esterni delle yellow Ambassador con molta cura e dedizione.
L’acqua viene prelevata dai rubinetti di strada, da dove anche la gente comune si rifornisce per lavarsi e cucinare.
L’attività può durare anche un’ora e il conducente di queste splendide auto ne approfitta per prendersi una pausa con un Masala Chai nei chioschi a bordo strada.
Il costo per un servizio di pulizia completo è irrisorio, magari anche solo per la colazione, il pranzo o la cena.

Taxi Driver is a tribute to all the Taxi Drivers of Kolkata, one of the largest and most densely populated cities in all of India.
Every day the Taxi Driver starts work at dawn: he washes and cleans the interiors and exteriors of the yellow Ambassadors with great care and dedication.
Water is taken from street taps, from where ordinary people also get supplies for washing and cooking.
The activity can last up to an hour and the driver of these beautiful cars takes the opportunity to take a break with a Masala Chai in the roadside kiosks.
The cost for a full cleaning service is negligible, perhaps even just for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
